Who are the main characters in the novel? do you like them? Why or why not? what is special about them? What do they reveal about the Universal human experience?
Some novel has very few main characters, but in this novel, Animal Farm, I think it has many main characters. I believe the main characters of this book are Napoleon, Snowball, Benjamin, and Boxer. However, I like all of them except Napoleon. I hate Napoleon because he is a dictator. In the beginning of the story, he pretends to be a good leader, but as time goes by Napoleon revealed his real characteristics. He treats other animals bad and forced them to work a lot for the windmill project thing. Also I seriously hate the part when he changed one of the seven commandments; "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" This phrase made me feel very sad because you can see from that phrase that he was a hypocrite from the beginning of the story. He also tired to kill Snowball with his enormous dogs and he abandoned Snowball. The most unacceptable thing is that he lives in the best room and he gets the best meal while others were starving because of shortage of food. He was an absolute dictator just like Hitler. Napoleon reveasl about the universal human experience by how he forced animals to work and obey, and the dictators always work like how Napoleon does.
